We all had a great night in St.Mary's last night. Great music from all. Nice to see so many kids enjoying playing traditional music. Looking forward to May 28th.
Yes, what a way to finish the Year with all the pupils playing together, some only playing their instrument since last October!! Keep an eye out for information about the 28th May!!

Final Class of the Spring Term 2010 will take place tonight in St Mary's PS (Monday 22nd March).
All musicians should attend from 7.00 - 8.30pm.

The 'Mini' Fleadh 2010 will take place in "The Loft" (behind the Parochial House) on Saturday 20th March 2010 beginning at 11am.
There will be competitions for Under 7, Under 8, Under 9, Under 10 , Under 11 and Under 12 children in all instruments.
Medals will be presented on the day and the trophies/cups will be presented at the last class.

I'm just wondering... I play the tin whistle, and I would like to become a member of the Portglenone CCE. How can i do this? And what age do you have to be?
Our classes are every Monday night 7pm to 8.30pm in St. Mary's Primary School in Portglenone. Call up there and ask some of the committee members. You can join CCE at any age.

Enjoy playing the music. I have been playing trad since september 1996!! I had relatives who lived in pg1 so it is not by chance that I come down and play.

We all really enjoy going down to the Wild Duck every Wednesday. The music and craic is great. Its a great social outlet for the kids and parents. We are all learning more about our traditional music, long may it continue.
