Fleadh Kicks off in 'Style'

The Co. Antrim Fleadh hosted by Portglenone CCE kicked off it's Comhaltas 60th Anniversary celebrations in 'style' yesterday with the Indoor Marching Band Contest. Many thanks to all the bands who took part, especially some who travelled quite considerable distances to take part in such a wonderful event to start the Co. Antrim Fleadh.
The contest was followed by a rehearsal of the Co. Antrim Junior musicians who will feature prominently in the Official Fleadh Opening Concert on Friday Night in The Riverside Suite at The Wild Duck Inn starting at 8pm sharp. Over 80 musicians were in attendance including a number of the tutors from the various Co. Antrim CCE Branches lending support. Once, again many thanks to the musicians and their parents for travelling up to Portglenone for the concert practice.
