Presentations at our 50th Anniversary Celebrations

A massive congratulations to Ava McAleese, Erin McAleese and Kate Donnelly on receiving their Gradam Ná nÓg Awards during our 50th Anniversary Celebration Concert from our Comhaltas President, Éamonn Ó hArgáin, and our Branch/County and Ulster Chairman, Eamon Graham. A well deserved achievement recognising all their hard work with our CCE Classes and Wednesday evening Junior Sessions over the last few years post Covid!
Also, recognising the significant contribution made to our Comhaltas Branch by our Treasurer of 33 Years, Geraldine Donnelly, who stepped down after so many years of service to our Branch. Thank You Geraldine!
And finally, a very heartfelt congratulations to our two CCE Founding Members, Edith Reid and Joe Clarke, who were presented with their Gradam Awards recognising their instrumental input in the formation of our CCE Branch in Portglenone 50 Years ago. Our President, Éamonn Ó hArgáin spoke so eloquently of their ambition at the time and their efforts over the last 50 years in promoting Irish Traditional Music, and music and song in general, in the Portglenone area and beyond!
