Thursday Senior Session

On Thursday 19th May, the Wild Duck was the setting for the usual Thursday night senior session. This week, however, there were a few more musicians travelling to Portglenone's 'Home' of Traditional music as a result of the Co. Antrim Fleadh.
Musicians from Portglenone itself along with Bellaghy, Castledawson, Maghera, Rasharkin and The Loup, they were there in good numbers celebrating our cultural music tradition.
Many thanks to all the musicians who travelled extensive distances to be with us for such a memorable session in the run up to the Official Opening Concert of the Fleadh on Friday night in The Riverside Suite at The Wild Duck. Seamus McCormack, President of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, will be there to officially declare the opening of the 60th Fleadh Celebrations at the 36th Fleadh Cheoil in Co Antrim.
