After much discussion this evening at our Branch Committee meeting and due to the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic we feel it is best for everyone to postpone our Comhaltas classes indefinitely for this incoming term of 2020-21. We will review the situation on a monthly basis and make a decision depending on the guidelines issued by the relevant governmental departments as and when it is safe and sensible to do so.
The Wednesday night Wild Duck Junior Session group will also be postponed indefinitely but we aim to have some form of online classes/learning via the WhatsApp group on a weekly basis to keep our young (and slightly older) pupils busy to keep honing their traditional repertoires and skills. (Only Portglenone CCE Registered pupils, with parental consent if under 18, will be able to join the online classes/learning platform.)
Registration to our Comhaltas Branch will continue online shortly and we would encourage all members to renew their membership to help keep the branch afloat in the meantime until we are able to return to classes, sessions and events. Registration information will be available soon. New members are very welcome to register as well.Branch
